Study of the variation in growth characteristics after different applications of NPK fertilizer on seven genotypes of bread wheat (Triticum Aestivum L.)

A field experiment was carried out during the winter season (2020-2021) at the Agricultural Research and Experiment Station of the College of Agriculture - University of Kirkuk in order to study the effect of adding NPK nano fertilizer on the most important components of the yield in bread wheat. Where the main plots included three levels of NPK nano fertilizer (0, 2 and 4 mg.L-1 sprinkled on the leaves, while the secondary plots included (7) genotypes of bread wheat, namely (Abu Ghraib, Fayadh, Sham6, Jihan, Ibaa99, Baghdad1 and Wafya). The growth characteristics were studied, the period from planting until the expulsion of 50% of the spikes (day), the period from planting until physiological maturity (day), the height of the plant (cm), the area of the flag leaf (cm2), the evidence of chlorophyll content in the flag leaf (cci) and the number of the total stems Shata. The data were analyzed statistically. The results showed that there were significant differences between the levels of NPK nano fertilizer in all the studied traits, as the third level of spray treatment (4mg.L-1) was superior in all the studied traits. Significant differences were also observed between the genotypes in all of the studied traits. The studied traits, as the genotype Cham6 was superior in most of the traits. Also, the binary interaction was significant for all the studied traits, where the genotype Cham6 was superior when overlapping with the third level of spray treatment (4mg.L-1) of NPK nano fertilizer in the majority of the traits.
